Web query
You may want to get regular information from Web pages. You can paste into worksheets or you can get Excel to query a web page.
Go to the menu Data => Import External Data => New Web Query
The dialog box is a web browser. Type or paste your source webpage in the address box. Once the page has loaded look for the
. If the page is structured well you should see you data with an arrow next to it. Click the arrow to select the data. Then Select Import. Select the position to download and press OK.
You can choose to import the formats and the full html of you need them.
This is great for bringing sports tables and scores into Excel. It looks like you are working on a spreadsheet while you are watching the score. Under the options you can set the table to refresh at intervals.
